Mine showed up too, but sadly, has not yet opened any wine.

I did put a wicked edge on the blade with my Edge Pro though!

Good use of $20! Very high cool factor.

Brilliant.

Beats the alternative I found myself with 20 yrs ago .. bottle of wine .. kitchen knife. Hmmm, why don't I just push the cork back into the bottle. It's worked before I said .. what could go wrong I said .. awesome I said .. Bottle in place on counter .. knife placed in the middle of the cork .. both hands tight around handle .. so I thought.

Fast forward .45 seconds later ... bottle sitting in place on counter .. cork entirely unmotivated .. hands slid firmly down the knife's edge

Blood wine anyone .. anyone .. anyone??

So I like it .. I like it a lot :)

TY

Aren't there some good wineries over on 50 and 88?

We should do an LC wagon wine tour sometime, to play with our new toys.

I'm guessing the :princess: :princess: would be all over that run!!!!

There are some great wineries in Eldorado and Amador-between 50 and 88. Anytime you and the :princess: want to go we are in.

I used my new Opi to open an 84 Caymus tonight. Still holding up after all these years.

Anyone notice the pitch on the screw is perfect. Goes in easy, pulls the cork, no problems. The French do a few things right.

On a related note, the wife has the high class version of this:

Laguiole Picnic Knife, Olive Wood Handle, 2 Steel Bolsters (Tradition brand)

She got it last year in France with the daughter so she could eat her cheese and open her wine while I was hard at work back home. Sigh....

The Citroën 2CV Sahara was another idea, who but the french would solve the problem of 4WD by putting two engines in a car, one on each axle?

I'll run the idea of a wine trip by :princess:.

I'm a big fan of Opinel knives. They work great, are cheap enough to stash one in every car and day pack and they are the classic pack backers knife.

Well they just got a lot better

A bit pricey compared to the originals but more than double the utility.

that's a pretty cool toy, I really like the grain and finish on the wood hilt.
I hope it works well for you.
