new non-oem head or used oem head?

i need a new head for my 22r because the spark plug hole is FUBAR'd. i was looking at some aftermarket heads on ebay for around 200 bucks shipped. I think an OEM one is like 400 shipped. or i could pick up a pretty good used one for about 100 shipped.

what do y'all think?

You could have a shop stick an insert in it.... Probably way less than a new head...

x2 nothing a time-sert won't fix......... But if that isn't an option, def. check out engbldr.com quality stuff (not affiliated).

what's a time-sert? i drilled it and stuck a helicoil in it, but the hole is too ovaled out to work. the spark plug still rocks in place. is there some sort of insert that works?
