Mig 60% off in this weeks flyer. Likely good for sheet metal etc.

$160 flux
$200 flux/mig

just my opinion...and im not trying to be a negative prick but....im a welder by trade and i dont think i have ever seen a welder worth buying at canadian tire....and it may be good for sheet metal but probably not for anything over like 16ga....if you want a welder i would go with a miller or a hobart just from personal preference/experience

the ones that go on sale for 599 from 899 periodically aren't thaaat bad.

I had one for a couple years, then sold it because it wouldn't take a spool gun( new ones do)

but they aren't the same quality as ones you'd get at a welding shop.
Lincoln kinda dumbs them down for the big box stores to get the prices down.

you'll find a lot more plastic in them , particularly the wire feeders than you would in the ones that look the same(and cost more) at a more specialized shop.

I didn't say it was a good welder, just a cheap one. It was $499 and is now $199. I'd agree that it's not a Miller or Hobart.

I'm happy enough with my stick welder that I won't be buying one. $60 well spent. With 6013 rods I can even weld sheet metal.:D
