Awesome!

Any chance you'll skin one?

It looks great. I have been holding out for this bumper because, if I was going to build one it would be VERY similar. The only other things I would consider adding would be diamond plate steel or aluminum around the Piaa's and perhaps on top of the bumper extending back horizontally to the grill/headlights to kinda cap it off. I had an Allpro bumper on the 4Runner that did that and I really liked it.

I also was not interested in a stinger because they dominate the look of a truck so much. The smaller stinger is a nice option. It provides some protection but is not distracting to the look of the truck. You might have me sold on the small stinger now over the bumper without a stinger.

I think I want to order one. Are you taking orders through your website?

I would like to see a filled in version too. It's going to be hard to decide which bumper to buy in a couple of years when I will be in the market for one. There are so many good choices these days.

Edit: Do you by chance have a head on pic of the taller stinger?

The only place we could skin the bumper is the top main tube to cover things up. The lower corners would be very expensive and time consuming to build. The pictures do not show it very well but the lower tube sits behind the main piece and it is angled backwards. I could certainly design a top skin and have it as an option but it would significantly increase the cost of the bumper.

As of right now all orders have to be made over the phone. We can take down your information and will bill you at the time the order is being shipped out. We don't believe in billing a customer till the day the order is scheduled to be shipped. You can all the main line at 503-822-1111 or 1-800-839-0684

Ka-chow! :grinpimp:

you guys rule!

Looks sweet! I also would like to see a pic of the tall stinger head-on. Still lovin' the sliders!:beer:

damn it guys... I just kinda had my mind made up on a bumper... then ya'll do this!!!

OK. Stupid question for you. It looks like the front winch plate or fairlead is pointing to the ground. Will this place any unnecassary stress on the winch cable, fairlead, or winch when pulling cruiser out of a mud hole... or something like that.

Great job LT & Mark. IF there are anything like the sliders I bought from ya'll you will have a winner!!!

will this front bar work with the factory winch in place as this is so close to wot i was planning to make up here in New Zealand

I love it. How does it mount?

excellent work!

The fairlead is positioned so that the cable will be coming straight out and not at an angle. I know it looks like it would be winching at an angle but it will work just like a regular fairlead that is mounted vertical.

I have no idea what the factory winch looks like. I would check out the dimensions of the 9.5xp and see how close it is dimensionally.

I love it. How does it mount?

It uses 8 of the 12mm (1/2") bolts on the top and bottom of the frame rail with plenty of room to spare for those with slightly tweaked frame rails.

Any bracing (looks like the AC dryer skid will do it on the DS) to keep the outer tubes from bending inwards with a corner impact?

Because of the way it's triagulated, you would be hard pressed to bend one of the wings in... Trust me, I have tried and anybody who knows me knows what that means! I have used the wing, under speed, to ramp up a rock... I wouldn't recommend it, but mine has yet to bend like that.

I'm worried about impacts in the two X'd areas happening at the same plane as the frame rails (in rather than up). Will this take those in stride?

Simple answer is yes it will take those in stride.

The lower support tube from the wing to the frame is actually behind the top main tube. This helps triangulate the outer wing. Also the support tube comes into the tail end of the bend on the main tube sporting the outer wing for guys like creepersleeper! The proto type is on my orange FZJ and the outer wings fended off rocks/trees that used to fold in the ARB bumper back in the day. (my fenders like others have the ARB dents from the sheet metal wings rolling back) The tubing can take the hit and NOT fold back hitting the body.

However since our tube is SRA (stress relived) if hit hard enough, like a crash it will start to bend before going into critical failure (crack) like cheep DOM will.

This bumper is 100% performance built. It is meant to get out and be used. (like the other parts we make.) Our goal with this bumper was to make a lightweight, high clearance winch capable bumper that can take a beating AND keep it under $800. We did it for $650.

First off, very sweet:cheers: I like the lines, and it's very much what I had in mind as the ideal bumper. Couple Qs . . .

How does the winch mount on this? Does it bolt to the bottom? i.e. would a 9000i (bolts on the bottom) fit?

Also, on lights. You said it would fit a 6" light. Any thoughts on the Hella 4000 Compacts? They have a dia of 6.7" and a depth of 4.5."

Sell your lights in the classifieds if they don't fit. If you like tubed bumpers this is pretty much your option unless you build or have your own built.
