Hello everyone. Recently purchased my first Land Cruiser. Got this '05 with 185k miles a couple of weeks ago after months of searching. Had the timing belt and water pump done at 179k. I took auto shop in high school a lifetime ago so I'm not very experienced but looking forward to learning more from this forum. Cheers!

Congratulations, looks like a great find! The Austin LC is pretty active and we get together 4-5 times a year (including the Lone Star Round Up event in the Hill Country), keep your eyes open in the early spring for the next one and join us, it's not uncommon for us to have 40-90 LCs there and it's a very family friendly environment. Lots of 100s there, too!

congrats looks like you got a gem!
 
Make sure to get the heater "T"' joints replaced. These are located next to the firewall and brake master pump. Use OEM T joints (about $20 for the pair shipped)
