new member and first time poster on this forum - but a 16-year LC owner.

bought my first 100 series in 2003, and put 125k trouble free miles on in it.

last Saturday, I picked up a new 200 series and absolutely love the car.

apologies for the quick photos — promise to share better photos next time...

What year? What interior color? How does it compare to the 100 that you had?

I got a 2020 as the price differential between 2019 and 2020 was negligible. It’s blue with terra interior

surprised that the 200 feels more sluggish than the 100 despite the bigger, more powerful engine - but probably because I was light on the throttle due to break in.

Loved my 100, but love my 200 more. I do miss my fully armored, trd supercharged 80, but the 200 is much more refined. You'll enjoy yours, have fun with it!

When it's broken in and you aren't worried about being gentle on it the power at higher RPMs will surprise you. Feels (and sounds) like an old muscle car. It does need those RPMs though.

Congrats!

When you ARE ready to stomp on the skinny pedal...the 200 leaves the 100 in the dust re power and acceleration. :) I was blown away by the difference coming from my 1999 100 Series and stepping on the gas. Massive power increase.

good to know - can’t wait to hit the 600 mile mark!

Welcome to the forum! You will definitely love the 200 series.

It's surprisingly quick actually, just wait for break in. Floor it from 0 and there's not many SUV's of this size that get going that quickly. There's the dual AFE cold air intake, a few exhausts (Dirty Deeds with no-drone Helmholtz), and the TRD/Magnuson supercharger if that's the kind of thing you're looking for. Some people also like the Pedal Commander to get a bit more responsive throttle. This forum will have you buying stuff you never thought you needed : )

Also digging the E Class Wagon - wagons rock! The new RS6 Avant coming to the states next year has me giddy.

Rs6 avant- is a beast but will get me into trouble. Curious to know how long folks actually wait until doing their first WOT on the 200. I know 600 miles isn’t a lot but some people just don’t believe in the need to break in modern engines.
