Well, I thought I had the perfect vehicle in my 2011 4Runner. I have a lift with bigger tires and it’s done everything here in the WY mountains that I’ve ever asked of it. Until I asked it to tow a camper. Since we live in grizzly country, tent camping and soft sided camping are either frowned upon in some areas and downright illegal in a couple others. Long story short, the 4Runner CAN do it, but isn’t happy doing it. Time for a new vehicle.

My research into a better 4Runner led me to the Land Cruiser, which led me to asking my friend and member here, ethernectar, where to start. So here I am. We plan to put the 4Runner up for sale after our camping trip next weekend, and hopefully it won’t take too long to find an ‘08+ LC. Since I live in WY, and nothing I want is ever for sale here, I’m sure it’ll be a fly and buy proposition. So be it. Looking forward to the adventure.

I thought about the 4Runner at first, then I knew I always wanted a Land Cruiser since the 70's so that is what I ended up with. Just picked my 2019 up from Ed Martin Toyota on Friday (thank you @Eric Sarjeant, have a great vacation). If you are looking at a fly and buy proposition, make sure you talk to them.

Stunner!

Lithia Toyota in Billings usually has a few. Talk to Don Speck. If they don't have one, they can probably find one or deal with another dealer that has one you want to get it closer.

Ressler Toyota in Bozeman has them in pretty often - even used ones. Almost flew up from Houston to buy one of their's. They do the "price on the window is what it is" so you don't haggle - which can be good or other depending on your view.

Envious of your location. Spent a lot of time on the Southfork with my dad growing up. Lots of hikes up Deer Creek and towards the Thorofare.

Thanks for the heads up on the Bozeman dealership. I'll leave that one opened up in a tab as well and check back often.

I live just down the Southfork and have hiked the Deer Creek area plenty of times as well. Beautiful place to get some quiet. :)
