Last night we dcided to use this method to find out member's prefence with respect to meeting location. It seems most peeple that Regularly attend live much closer to the south Toyota Dealership, where we have been given permission to meet.

Please vote for the meeting location, north or south and please don't vote for the location nearest you for one or two meetings a year.

I know we have only made one mtg so far but it was at bear creek aka south west side. We would be far more inclined to the southern dealer. The other is in an area of lost surburbia i tend not go to.

North is more convenient, but it's not a make or break deal for me.

South for sure.. I know i havent regularly attended the meetings recently, but the North location is part of that..

I also think that I-25 access of the south location makes it easy for people heading from North, south, or West.. But makes it a bit harder for the folks out east.

this being said, ive been wanting this move for as long as ive been a member.. so Lets Get it done if the votes go that way..
I had talked with the Sales Manager at the South Location before they moved to their new building and they were willing to give us a good space, and Discounts on Parts..

As for the parts discount, when I met with the south location general manager he said he and the north site GM meet and talk regularly. The discount they give is the same at both locations.

Now what I'm about to say is going to sound like I am bad mouthing these guys but I am not, merely stating my experiences. A couple of weeks ago I rebuilt my rear calipers, replaced the rotors, pads and all my brake soft lines (7 total ) I called the local dealership and got the discount price and called C-Dan from American Toyota. The local guys mark up over Toyota suggested retail and then the discount price we get is actually the Toyota suggested price. C-Dan starts at Toyota suggested price and discounts around 30% from there. As much as I try to keep my dollars local there are significant differences. I chatted with the GM for a while and he seems to be a good guy and likes Cruisers. So if we move I may discuss this discount with him and see if he is willing to match C-Dan.

Another thing I was thinking about is asking the GM if we could meet in the shop area if we wanted to do some type of skill/demo for a meeting topic. It may be a stretch but worst he can do is say no.

Interesting ... I haven't bought many OEM parts recently, but when I did the local price with the discount was about the same as CDan's price + shipping.

That'd be cool. Great place for a birfield party some sunday

I live up north but will support the proposed south location. It makes sense to make it easier for the Pueblo guys to attend.

I have no preference of location. If the location is keeping people away then it needs to be changed to somewhere where they will meet.
