Our friend Tare PM'd me with a link to an add on Craiglist for a set of 4 BFJ MT KM2's 285/75/16's right here in Newport Beach. You've gotta love it when our mods here look after their flock!!! $700 for the set - brand spanking new with stickers still on them. I hopped all over it and now have new tires all around. Had them mounted and balanced this afternoon after picking them up from the seller at lunch.

They look great and the singing on the way home wasn't as bad as I'd expected...at least up to 50mph.

Kind of gloomy here in the OC, but here are a couple of pics.

Forgot to ask the importand question. Never have run MT's before. Revo's same size were just fine at 38 psi. MT's the same, lower, higher?

Hmm, I wish Tare would PM me.

Killer deal. ;p

I absolutely owe him a :beer: or :beer::beer::beer: :D

Guy was 10 minutes from my office. Local is local dude. :D

Just got a email from the seller. His buddy can get another for a spare.

Thanks for the tire pressures. Given the stiffness of the MT, wondering if 38 psi was too much.

Very nice!

These are the exact tires I want to get next year and if I can get them for anywhere close to 700 bones I will be super stoked.

Lookin good, now you got to get em dirty

Um, why is your truck purple dude? Is that a cellphone pic?

Lousy light - and that's the second set of pics that have come out lousy with that flash card. First sign of trouble was the pics of the aluminum jack mounts. Those were even worse in sunlight too!

I've got an old Canon A80 digital camera with a 512mb flash card as old as the camera. I've got a small 32mb card that doesn't see much use. I may try to retake and see what happens. I suppose the camera itself may be dying, but I've not heard of digital cameras crapping out.

Took a second look at the pics. Could be a reflection from the bricks on the house too, but I doubt it. ...and no, they aren't purple bricks. You can see the bricks inlayed in the driveway. Trim on the house is a light blue. Combination of the colors...maybe.

Fronts were fine, but the rears had about 60K on them and down to the wear bars. Was planning on a late summer replacement, but this was just too good to pass up.

The camera has been thru it's paces on lots of scout trips in the truck, on canoes, in backpacks...you get the idea. Never heard of one crapping out tho. Replacement for newer technology...all the time.

Sorry about that. I sent the link to Brent first, if he passed it was going to you. I will keep an eye out, see if I can find anymore.

Brent:

Tires look great. Happy you were able to score the set. I know the sorce can get you a spare but see if he can get anymore for sdnative.

I'll ask - picking up a spare from him Tuesday!!! Same $175. I can't touch that even with mounting and balancing.

Tucker Tire charged me $60 for all 4. Mentioned when I called and asked that they were BFG KM2's and the size, and was quoted the $60. Got there and they said it'd have been $80 if they'd have known they were mud terrains - must not have been listening to the KM2 part I guess. They stuck to the quote tho. Even at $20 a tire, it's good deal.

sdnative - how soon you looking to purchase? Think I saw a post somewhere about next year?

If the guy can source a spare in a day, my guess is he's got a good source...

I'm just razzing you. No worries.

Great pic up Brent! I just got new shoes today too! I went with the Maxxis Bighorns in a 315 (5 new ones for $1055 OTD). I am actually wheeling this weekend and I can't wait to see what a MT is all about. Nice score!
