Arjun, those are 285 DuraTrac's. Summer no doors might be in the works though. And the running boards protected the body just as good as sliders, the boards themselves didn't fair so well.

Ooh! I guess I missed that at the beginning.

Touché, they did protect the body well. So how about a trip out to red-bird or the badlands as soon as I get the 80 back down here?

Or is she going to be a strictly "on-road" vehicle?

I want a pink panty mobile just because I want to see the reaction from people of a Lexus wheeling. Slight hijack. I am in cincy. Is Redbird worth the drive?

I've not been to Redbird but heard it's pretty good, I've only been to the Bad Lands in Attica. And after wheeling there a few times I've seen every corner and it has become a little boring which is why my 2 LX's will be street use only.

:flipoff2: Ha! I just don't think it's going to get around nearly as good as the LX did. Even with 4WD and some additional weight in the bed, the balance isn't great (as with any pickup...). The LX was perfect in that regard. Also, my Titan doesn't have remote start like the LX did...I've been missing that! :princess:

It's a sad day but I'm putting her up for trade as much as I loved this rig, best running and nicest of the 6 I've owned, the 80 series just doesn't fit my life style. I never get to take her anywhere fun and the cabin is just a little cramped for my 6'5" frame. Looking for a Tundra or something else AWD

I plasti dipped the bottom half and the rims to protect it this winter. The plasti dip will peal off in the spring if you wanted it to.

:frown: sad to see this go but at 6'5" I dont know how the hell you were driving this? Heck I'm no where near 6' tall (:flipoff2:) and I feel like any taller and it would suck in this thing. I cant put any of my two sons car seats behind me or I'd be too cramped while driving.

It was a little chilly in the engine bay this morning. Check out that intake temp 3.2deg after She had warmed all the way up to 185(full operating temp this morning) Normally between 190-192. I know that is no temp record but glad she was in the garage with Syn oil in her this morning.

What guage is this???

What did you use to undercoat this?
How long did it take?
1.) Power wash with soap then a high temp rinse, steel brush, Rustoleum rust reformer, Rustoleum automotive gloss black...in that order.

2.) Probably 12+ hours or so total over 2 days.

Be prepared for a nice thick layer of black overspray in your entire garage. Ramps and/or jack stands, a creeper, filtered respirator, eye protection, good music and a case of beer are all absolutely necessary.
