Hello,
I recently bought a 2008 Sequioa. The last owner had a 2 inch lift installed. It was just coils and shocks, nothing else. It appears that whoever did the alignment after did a pretty poor job. Multiple alignment cam tabs have been flattend. The carfax report showed a minor rear end collision but the frame showes no sign of damage at a glance. I had new tires installed and the technician that attempted a new alignment worked on it for 3 days and after that he could only get it close. Im attaching some pictures and I'll attach more in a following post. The first ones are the front wheel well. The tire on the driver side is more forward of center for lack of a better term that the passenger side. Is this normal or do I need to get an alignment from another shop? Thanks for the input?

Welcome!!

That's not uncommon as they don't pay attention to the wheelbase and one wheel is more forward than the other, allowing one side to rub sometimes.

We sell these all the time to fix the cam tab problem.

Heres the passenger side LCA from the front. Notice the camber bolts orientation.

Driver side rear LCA from the back of the vehicle. Where's the cotter pin and look at the camber bolt.

I've heard these can be a pain to align so I dont want to be quick to decide this shop didnt do a quality job. He was very honest. He informed me that it would be about 2K to fix the LCAs. The truck drives worse now that before with brand new tires. Pulls pretty hard to the right and there is a noticable wobble above 55. Feels like the tires aren't ballanced properly.

Definatley rubs on the passenger side rear and driver side front. Can it be fixed or do I have to just accept it?

Might need a different shop to fix it and then perhaps have a dealer align it

This thing drives worse than before. Im thinking I need to replace both forward LCAs on the rear since the cam tabs are flattened. Any advice on this work? Special tools aside from a spring compressor?

My plan is to replace the forward LCAs on both sides of the rear since the cam tabs are flattened. Does anybody know if I can do this without removing the coils since they are seated in the rear LCAs?
