Thanks, Ryan.

More paint to come. One day it will all be the colour of the doors and fenders.

I kinda like it multicoloured. gives it chatacter. It reminds me of the 'Harlequin golfs' factory made in 96. Anyone remember those? Funky but I see the resemblance. LOL

Lookin good!

they fit on there ok?

pretty soon every cruiser on the island is going to have some old crackwhore parts....:hillbilly:

And Toshi, that's an old set I made years ago. Materials were subsidized by my employer being on vacation....but that's the narrow/short set so there was a bit more f'ing around in the mold to build them.

(I think I saw one of those golfs the other day....)

Fitting

Once the old fenders were removed it was just a matter of drilling a couple of new holes and bolting them on.

The fenders fit well. The "aprons" across the top are a little uneven, and one day when I've got nothing better to do I'll make up a new set.

I think I may cut out my old inner fenders and modify them to fit. If i install them with only a few bolts they can easily be removed. Unless I just leave them off to help let the heat out.:hillbilly:

Nice! how hard were they to make and how much did materials cost? I'll have to make a set...

They'll make your truck look better.

From what Industrial Plastics quoted I'd guess the cost for the full set to be $100-150.

Without the inner fenders $75-100.

I have this dim memory of something going wrong when I cut out those aprons...might have been a zip cut explosion ( complete with blood and embedded nuggets...)

or it just might have been towards the second half of the case of beer...that always affects how straight a line I can cut...:hillbilly:

you mean, I sit, drink your beer and watch, offering occasional pointers?

not sure what I'll be doing next week, I'm doing a bit of a road trip to edmonton for a buddies wedding, and the days I'm not I'll be working...

Could probable get a set done in an evening after work. they wouldn't kick off till later unless you go for the nuke mix with the methyl/ethyl/brain destroyer. :hillbilly:
I still have some materials around, some mat&roving but not sure about resin etc.

I see 3 positive things in those pics
1- your 40 has front fenders
2- it has licence plates
3- it is outside of the garage for the first time in ages.
does this mean your coming wheeling with us on our next trip?
Great job looks good,is your final colour going to be dune beige?

wheeling soon

Fenders: yes.
Plates: not insured to drive on road yet... soon though.
Next Trip: depends on when it is.

Colour: Ultra flat Kaki.

Still need turn signals. which will either require gas for the torch or??? to cut some holes in the bumper for them.

N95 respirator is recommended. And gloves.

That's about it. Only one colour.
