Crank kit perhaps?

No, something like this

# 4Runner, T100, Pickup 1988-95 2958cc
3VZE engine

* 3.0L F.I. 12-valve SOHC V6 crank kit - CSTO31 - $368.19

Toyota crankshaft kits

(Have not seen C/K but that should not keep YOU from calling him and asking TOYOTA 3.0 V-6)

..........I'd look for somebody with a rep(utation) though

**EDIT** you must be sure the rods did not get thrown out of the block! You must LOOK everywhere and DAMN hard to be sure. The hole can be obscured from engine components.

So I may not need a new engine?
Do I need to take it apart to look for the hole? Would I be able to do that myself or do I need to get a mechanic to look for that?

My girl said the engine starting knocking then it just shut off. It ran completely dry of oil, and then seized. If there is a chance that I don't need a new engine. wow. but mind you it is completely seized.

*may*

No, crawl under. Don't knock dirt into your eyes but look real good. A light, at night and different angles might help.
Look behind the obvious engine accessories, Alt, starter, things down low. But since its crowded it will be hard.

the kind of confidence I'm hearing kinda negates any of the above.....

You need to do some intel work. Call a machinist and tell him what you have. ask about boring/ honing magnafluxing and doing your heads.

If you can not pull this motor (the first engine I ever pulled) than unless you are mechanically inclined I would not do it. The flip side is someone else's LABOR, you just dropped around another grand EZ, on top of parts/ machine work.

I feel bad now :frown: but its still cheaper and more economic than a conversion.....and anyone that does not know how to check the oil should not be allowed to drive it. (thats how I got my 1st V6, daddy's little collage girl ran it dry, she had Johnnies picture over the light :rolleyes: and not enough sense, but she's prolly a Doctor by now...)
