I understand the need for advertisement, but what's up with the ads now dropping down from the top of the page?

I thought membership limited the ads to the one banner ??

SS is appreciated, but as a 10+ year member, your permissions are nearly identical with regard to ads and features (a reward for long term members)...this is a mistake on my part re: programming
