I didn't see if you mentioned it but is the main structure that the winch will bolts to a "bought" piece or did you make it. If it is a bought piece I would like to get one to base my front bumper off of.

Thanks,

E.

It's home made and was actually the easiest part of the bumper to make.

Parts arrived today for the tire carrier.
comp4x4 1750 spindle with sleeve. Very beefey.
I'm doing a under the factory bumper wing carrier.

Keep us posted - I'd like to consider the factory bumper wing carrier for mine. Also, what is the sleeve for?!

BTW - I love the front bumper - very nice style (though the tubes kind of detract from the nice clean look - but that's just me). Did you bend any of the pieces of steel for the bumper or did you cut them all!? Assuming you must have access to a good plasma cutter...

Thanks on the bumper compliment.
Wish I had a plasma but had to do it the old fashion way.

I bought the sleeve due to all the spindle failures from welding them directly to the bumper.
When you weld certain spindles it can cause MIE metal induced embrittlement in the heat effected zone and eventually lead to cracks and or complete failure.
With the sleeve you weld the sleeve to the bumper, incert the spindle, install the pin and your done.

Wow... what's that (cutoff wheel/band saw?!). I was sure you used plasma because part of the bumper had some very nice curved pieces - very nicely done indeed.

I removed the tubes and will go with a shortbus style in the future but I am enjoying the naked look for now.
Warn 9.5k and fairlead mount will be coming next.

I really like it as well. Great job. I will be building some in the near future. Cardboard templates are the best way IMO. Then drop it off to a shop that has a plasma table.

that is bad ass bumper u should start to fabricate them ill be you fist buyer

Thanks
I may sell this one to start another design I have in mind.

Cool.
The templates work well.

wow, that is great work - especially since you didn't use a plasma cutter. Very impressed.

Thanks
I'm asking santa for a plasma this year. HaHa
