Good afternoon from Florida, USA! I'm a new owner of a 1994 HDJ81 with the 1HD-T diesel engine. My new rig has 212,000 km on the dash and runs great. The previous owner said "all maintenance is up to date", but we all know what that means. I want to consider a Big End Bearing replacement and seeking some insights and direction. Anyone willing to engage?

Where in Florida? Welcome and congrats on the new 81. BEB replacement is really only a thing on 91/92's. Unless you have low oil pressure I wouldn't advise doing them preventatively. 212Km is relatively low mileage.

Thanks for the response!!! I appreciate your time. I'm in North Florida near Lake City. Seems like the oil pressure is fine, it settles a bit at idle, but raises with RPM. No knocking or strange noises. I just love the rig and want to make sure I don't have a failure over something that could be prevented.
