yes, he is a bull mastiff crossbreed.
You would not believe how easy it was to get it in on the motor cycle jack. The balance on the timber allows you to sit to one side and watch the bellhousing to engine gap and push it forward. I also had a piece of timber under the sump with a jack to adjust the angle of the engine and to keep the engine mounts from twisting.

Had a couple of Rottis, but something about the mastifs personalty really appeals to me.

Ya I have done it that way and it sucks, another set of hands are very helpfull.


Hard part seems to be aligning the input shaft while on your back and shuving the big peace of steel in with your feet and a pry bar.

but yeah, not much fun. shortly after doing that, I changed the clutch in the g/f's civic....tranny in that weighs less than a frikken cruiser third.
