Thinking (actually "dreaming" right now!) February/March '09 when it is early fall there. We would need to ship the rigs in a container (typical containers are 40' long...maybe 2 rigs per container or 1-rig + trailer in a container). I have a contact in the Bay area that I have yet to call to get more information on cost, logistics, etc. of shipping. Generally, from what I have gathered so far, it is about a 2-week (max) boat ride for the rigs...then fly there to pick them up (southern Chile?)...then explore southern Chile, Patagonia...head into Argentina...north to Igacu Falls...I have friends/contacts in La Pampas region that have an Estancia...then on the Buenos Aires to load the trucks back on a ship. I am guessing excursion time would be 3-4 weeks...it would also be nice if any others share an interest in either fly fishing or duck/goose hunting but that's a sideline option that may or may not work out.

All a pipe dream right now...but within the next 12-months I want to start formulating the group (no more than 8-rigs would be ideal) and the overall plan.

Was talking to a guy at work and he said that we might be able to get some tire manufacturer to help sponser the the trip to Argentina if they are wanting to test out some new tires not real sure on this but thought it might be worth mentioning to you guys as it might help pay for some of the trip there ??
