Hello all,

~135k on my 2013 Cruiser. Going through the service history, at roughly 65k the previous owner had the dealer flush the power steering and they used "power steering conditioner". I contacted the dealer to figure out what product this was, and they couldn't tell me what they would have been using those few years ago.

I've read that these products typically have seal swellers in them to seal up and prevent leaks. I need to flush the PS and am concerned about them shrinking again and causing leaks..

Am I overthinking this?

Also what do people think about using Dexron 6 in our PS system? it calls for Dex 3, and 6 is supposedly backward compatible, though it is thinner. But being a synthetic the other shear stability and viscosity properties should be improved. I also happen to have two gallons of the stuff and no vehicles to put it in..

Thanks for any info
