are pretty much any landcruiser mc's compatible with any year booster?

I need to replace mine, at some point I'd like to put disk brakes up front, maybe rear but that will be a while. Which year/series booster would be most recommended? would I be able to my master with a 71 hooked to say a 80 series booster?

if there's a faq somewhere, just point me to it please. thanks

I've read a few threads on this, don't remember seeing it offhand.

I think earler in this post someone said that the early "non ABS" brake boosters are the one to get. I need to replace mine now and am trying to find a used one.

I just replaced the second booster in my '71. Many years ago I swapped in a dual diaphram booster from a 60 series in. Brakes seemed better than with the single diaphram one, though its way huge.
Last weekend I swapped in a Tundra booster. I ran into minor complications with the fittment of this booster. I had to slightly trim the firewall brace on the top part where it bends over. I also spaced it out about 1/2 " from the firewall because one of the bolts for the pedal bracket going through the firewall was keeping it from fitting correctly. I probably could have ground the bolt down or used a shorter one and had it work.
Good news is that my brakes are WAY improved. I think since boosters going out is something that happens over a long time you don't notice how bad it is until you replace it.
