Good Morning Gentlemen
I was replacing my rear sway bar links and the inboard mounts snapped out of the frame as I was taking them out. They revealed a frame I should've inspected more carefully when I bought it. Due to finances this is my only vehicle and I don't know if it's safe to drive in its current condition (I assume no). Inspecting the frame after snapping the mount out, I see that someone has JB welded a plate to the frame. I've been reaching out to welders in the area and they're quoting me 400-600 to come and patch it. Honestly I don't really know what to do. Should I shell out money to have it fixed? Disconnect the rear sway bar? Can anyone help? I'm in Danielson CT and would be grateful if anyone could give some ideas on the best path forward.
