Brent,

Yes, left "New" and right "old"

Just wanted to share. Wasn't planning on getting tires for couple more months but came out to rig this morning to find my tires in the rear dead flat. Just other night we had some not so smart guys go around town slashing peoples tires. Just in my area over 50 cars w/ slashed tires. Well at least now I have some nice looking tires. Just need to do birf/knuckle/bearing work and I should be good for a little while. But, then again this thing is just a money pit so never done!!!

YngTLCOwner,

Is that OME 860 or 863 in the rear (looks like 851 in the front though) ?

YngTLCOwner,
Hit Waggoner for a hood swap... you've got his color and might clear enough to get some Slee sliders. :D

Hope the mad slasher doesn't make a return visit and get your new rubber. Looks nice! Any insurance help on the vandalism?

Big Thanks!!!

You just made my life easier by posting pics of 315 vs. stock tires. We just purchased Kaderbek's tires & the wifes wondering how they would look. Thanks!!

PS-how much has it affected the driving of the truck???

Our 97 (on your new tires) handles just as well as our 94 on stock Michelins. There is no difference in handling that I can feel, short of the supercharger trying to peel the tread off everything. :)

So how does it drive? Do you feel underpowered with those big meats? Are you going to re-gear it? Are you going to lower the bump stops? I was going to do the same amount of lift w/ the 295's but now after seeing yours I’m screwed. Dam you, dam you straight to hell. Now I am totally lost, if I do have to re-gear then I might as well have the ARB's put in, see what you have done? Must remember to breath… just breath... it will be OK.

The overall drivability is great. Take off is slow but seems like after about 15-20 mph you can just step on the gas and it will move. I tested the rig on highway, regular road, going up mountain pass road and all worked well. Still have to see how the gas milage works out. As far as re-gearing that will probably be later if I see a big difference which I am not comfortable with otherwise it will remain the way it is now. The only thing I might be doing is adding in 1 inch spacers in the front as soon as I get an ARB Bumper to put on.

I personally like the 315s and being how they were cheaper then the 295 tires that made it a simple decision. Plus, you get a better look w/ the 315s. The only drag is the spare does not fit. But its okay cause I just have to do extra work to get that Slee Bumper ASAP!!! It is just sitting in the rear currently. It takes up a lot of space.

So overall I am very happy w/ the set up and the drivability.

P.S.
I am not sure what tire pressure would be best so if anyone has suggestions please let me know. I will be using this pretty much as a DD and taking the rig out occassionally on weekends for light trips until I get another DD and will then be using this for the trails.
