hey guys.
i'm not sure if you've seen this thread:

https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-owners-club/218230-project-fj35-over-lv-gets-t-boned-60mph.html

either way, i'm trying to put together an effort to get gene back in a running wagon. we've received a lot of parts, donations and support from fellow mudders but we still need a lot of parts.

here's a short list, please check back in periodically since this list will get updated as time goes along:
disc brake outers for a disc swap onto a 1972 front axle
wheels
32" tires
shocks ( stock length )
brake master and booster
brake lines soft ( have to be new )
hard brake lines
brake line "T" fittings for the axles
driveline bolts ( roughly 75 vintage )
good ebrake drum and ebrake shoes
fj45 springs and bushings
all fluids

i'm sure there's lots more but this is a good start. obviously some of these items will be tough to ship so if anybody in CA has them, please post up. even if you're not in CA, do post up and maybe we can figure out a way to mudship some of the oddball items.

thanks in advance!!!!!

Also there is a set of 33x9.50x15s off a FJ40 (4 only). Off Zartman's rig. So Toyota 4 wheel Drive Owner magazine would be donating them.. They are not 32s..but the price is right..

I would say the wheels too, but they are drum type wheels. I will look in my parts barn and see if I have a set of disc brake wheels..

thanks rod!!!!!!!
those tires and rims look like they outta work perfect! i'll have to talk to gene and mark about the brake setups. the springs might be too expensive to ship and i think the new frame/body will have springs with it. maybe we'll keep yours on the "back burner" in case the ones coming down are'nt all that great.

thanks again bro!!!!!!

No problem. I'm sure we can get it all down there. I may have found an extra set of disc knuckles too.

They are a little odd..possibly mini truck. On the bottom of the knuckle there are only 2 bolts holding the bearing cap on?

I can take the hard brake lines off a set of axles i have if thats what your looking for ? and for now I have the old shocks off my 40 they worked fine but I wont be needing them since I went with the downey lift

George,
I'll start going through my extra parts and see what I turn up that's on the list.

I don't know what those knuckles would be from either

Thanks Rob. Just remember the junctions need to be from a 7/70 and newer to be the 10mm type. Front shocks should work out fine, but rears will need to be of the type where the lower end mounts to the u-bolt plate below the springs [45 and '74 up FJ40 type] NOT the type that mount on the axle tube.

Update. We are going to need another oil pan, 2F vintage. If anyone has an extra, it will be appreciated.

As of our run thru today, we also discovered that we will be needing the following NEW parts:

fuel pump
manifold gasket
oil pan gasket
rear main seal
radiator

The engine seems to be ok, just has a little bit of a thump in the bottom end.

well, you can check off the radiator! :grinpimp:

jonathan and i have been emailing each other and he has graciously ( sp :hillbilly: ) offered to help out with a new radiator and hoses. i need to call his main parts guy and get it set up, then gene can go over there and pick up the new parts!

thanks again jonathan and TLC!!!!!!!!!

as far as some of the other stuff goes, i can get the new parts at the local dealer. we have more than enough money in the pp account to pay for these items.

thanks again for all the help guys, i can't tell you how much i appreciate it, nevermind how grateful gene is!

ps: mark, do you want me to get the gaskets and rear main sela and ship them down to you along with the fuel pump? that way you guys can get the engine ready for install when the time comes.......

I actually stock all those parts Georg. I will do my best to match whatever prices you get.;)

hey mark.
cool! just send me a pm with the total for those parts and i'll forward you some money from the PP account.
thanks a bunch!
georg

:doh:Just saw this!

PM coming.:)

Update:

ANyone want to volunteer any of the 'usual' stuff for a build, we could use that too.

Engine oil
Gear oil
coolant
brake fluid
permatex

just trying to stretch the budget dollars as far as we can.;)

i'll take care of the silicone and brake fluid......
