Hey all,

I'm on the hunt for a used LC200. None available right now in my immediate area but I found one in SoCal that looks promising. Work/Kid schedule makes it unlikely for me to fly down and drive back to the Seattle area, so.....

Does this appear to be a reasonable deal? $42.8k for a 2013 with clear title and no accident history? Anything suspect in the ad linked below?

Is there anyone on the forum nearby who could take a peek at it to see if it's normal, rust/damage free and do a quick test drive to make sure all the important stuff (4 lo, diff lock, crawl control, etc.) works? I won't hold you responsible for anything except possibly accepting dinner and drinks if you're every in my area. Just want a halfway educated set of eyes on it before I think about buying and shipping it.

Damage reported in the Carfax. (Click the carfax button in the ad near the top). I would consider such a vehicle, but only for the right price. In my experience searching, not enough difference in price vs a clean carfax vehicle.

Took another look at it -

10/30/2017 Damage Report Damage reported
Damage to right side
Damage to right front
Damage to front
Damage to rear

That's a hard pass!

Whatever vehicle you consider, check out the service history by VIN on Toyota's site. When searching, I only considered vehicles that had been regularly maintained by the owner.

Oh, that sucks. I ran a free VIN check and it showed no damage. Guess I won't be using that site anymore, haha! Hard pass indeed, the priec isn't near good enough.

For a data point I paid $40,700 for a 2015 with 98k on it, 1 owner, never hit, no damage on Carfax and is legit (no owner pay/not reported) 100% dealer serviced with all records including full fluids done at 97k, outside of Atlanta GA about 2 months ago. It was used as a wife transporter so it was perfect in and out, or as good as you are gonna get for used, magnetic gray/black, brand new Michelins, etc.

Seems like you are ready to move on, but I ended up passing this as soon as we found out the damage was reported. We had talked to the dealer and everything, but he didn't instill any confidence.

There was a used one in the auto trader in Costa Mesa a few weeks ago that looked nice.
