Hey guys I've had a leak in my oil pan for awhile, so this weekend I pulled it off to J.B. Weld a hung of metal over the hole that I thought was there. Turns out that its not just a hole, but a 3 inch long crack...lame. SO my question is does anyone have a spare oil pan that they could send me, my Zip Code is 80126 or 81230, hopefully you will be local and I can pick it up. I am located in Colorado in either the Denver/Littleton area, or The Gunnison Valley/Crested Butte area. My vehicle is an 1988 FJ-62.

Thanks

you mean the skidplate thing?? yeah thats where mine leaked from. I took off the panand had a crack about 3 inches long right above that spot so if leaked through there. I just took a piece of scrap metal and JB Welded it over the crack and put the oil pan back on, its a temporary fix, so I'll need a new oil pan sometime, but it'll hold up well. I would recomend you check urs out sometime.

not sure if it matters or not. I replaced an 88 motor with a 90 motor and the sump part of the oil pan is larger on one of them, can't remember which. but they weere definately different.

Had a similar problem. Took off the pan, cut the skid plate down a bit so it no longer overlaped the pan. then cleaned and cleaned some more and then fully welded the entire skid plate circumference to the pan. Yes the crack still leaks oil but it can't get out. No more drips.
