well if it aint one thing it's another right? a shop i have known for a while quotes me : about 300-350 to put the new hg and timing set in. now they upped it to 500 which is some bs. it shouldn't take very long to get the head off ( i just dont have the tools and short on cash) anybody on the forums live near or close to forest city NC? like so ashvile, charlotte, shelbyhenderson ville, hickory NC or hell even spartan burg SC, that wouldn't mind helping out a fellow yota owner for say about the 300 350 range. hit me up if anybody can help out 828 447 4504

Download the FSM PDF, spend $300 on tools from craigslist, do it. Then you'll have the knowledge and still have the tools.

i planned on it. lil problem- i dont have all the feeling in my ride side of my body since my surgery which was about 3 months ago. i drag my right arm against crap 24/7 then finally feel it after i see it it's kinda funny but it's taking forever to come back. thats the only reason i was going to pay to get it done. i changed out the head on my nissan 300zx doing them is no problem just right now

There are some guys just outside of Charlotte called Toyota Techs. They might be listed as J&M automotive in the phone book. The do awesome work. I cant say what they would charge you on the job but I would think that it would be a fair price based on the work they have done for me over the last 3 years. Good guys and know Cruiser particularly old ones very well
