So this was my lexus refresh. using raptor liner Nardo grey tint. Reduced using urethane reducer at 2 oz per bottle.

Used a 1.8mm tip on gun and sprayed using a 90 degree cross hash pattern. I did three coats getting further away from the body after each one.

I used 16 tintable spray bottles. and 2 black ones for trim and engine cover.

added rims and 3 inch lift. soon coming is a roof rack from uptop overland. Ordered it in July and still has not arrived yet it is now November.

also had the timing belt changed. new plugs and all amsoil fluids done.

raptor liner cost was around 1k bucks with paint gun and compressor and tape. budget a lot of clips too for broken ones. I used partsouq for the lights and most of the parts. very easy to find part numbers using their diagrams.

wheels 1500
roof rack 1600
lift 1500

debating on long travel total chaos lift and looking into tire racks for the spare.

What I learned is that you should not use fabric drop clothes on the floor. the raptor liner will stick to your feet and you wont be able to move around without ripping up the cloth. use the red paper slightly damp

So, for the Pearl GX's with peeling paint (mine included), even if you recoat, raptor line, wrap, etc... without stripping down to primer where the paint peel/separation seems to occcur, what level of confidence do you have that it will not continue to peel under the raptor liner?

Not sure. I didnt really mind to try it. I sanded 80 grit to bare metal in all the bad areas and took it about a foot farther. Etched primer of course.... did a whole body primer before I sprayed it. Just be careful cause some primers are not good under urethane coatings. I will post an update in like a year of how its held up. Good question though and I really dont know what will happen.
