I have a Mombassa Adventure II (RTT9010) and I have these mystery straps inside the tent and I'm not sure what to do with them. They are attached to the bows on each side and each ends with a loop and a piece of velcro (hook). There is an piece of velcro (loop) on the mattress, that it MAY go to, but I still can't figure it how (or why).

Any ideas?

Potato Launcher nailed it.. they're for assisting yourself going up and down the ladder.

I use to lay them between the top of the mattress and below the bedding....the :princess: appreciated something to hold on to, besides the side of the tent (and I used them a time or two at 3 in the morning, after the 32nd piss call after 14 Yuenglings)..

used to help you hold on as you are climbing in/out of the tent.

Thanks everyone for the input!

I'll first spin the mattress around to match up the hook and loop sides of the Velcro.

Since it's really a Trailer Top Tent (TTT), I don't expect the :princess: and I will be using them using them to climb up and inside...but after a few 7&7s, I might have to.

Thanks again!!

Wow. I guess that is well beyond just using the bottle up in the tent!

I thought they were to hold the mattress in place. Thats all I have ever used mine for at least.

maybe if I carried a 20L Scepter can up there it would've been ok...:lol::lol:

I had several the other night when we were out camping. I was surprised it only took one trip down the steps myself.

A Midwest beverage company, Faygo, used to make 3 liter bottles of soda (pop as they say around here) and they had the wide mouth. I wish tehy still sold them!
:D
