Anyone know where this is supposed to attach? It's hanging down on the right side of the passenger foot well. It's long enough to go pretty much anywhere on that side of my '17 LC. The little tube at the end with tape and foam on it has several small holes in the end and I assume (but don't know) it's a temperature sensor for the HVAC system. A dealer left it unattached and loose above the footwell valence just above where it is now. I think it's important I get it back in its home and I can't find it on any parts diagrams to see where it might normally be taped.

That looks like the microphone for the dealer-installed glass breakage sensor - part of the alarm system.

If I recall, you can stick it up anywhere behind the dash just so the microphone is not blocked. You might be able to find it by searching for the installation instructions for the glass breakage sensor.

Here's a link to the part: Land Cruiser Glass Breakage Sensor

Edit to add: Some days I even amaze myself

And pretty much all days you amaze me. Thanks! Just what I needed. You're a bunch of different kinds of awesome.

Protip on the glass break sensor: Mr T designed the mount and kit so that you can see and adjust the sensitivity screw by lying on the floorboard and looking up. When I installed this kit a month ago I didn't pay attention to the instructions about initial setting, so testing the sensor didn't work. I was able to adjust the setting without removing the whole glovebox and passenger knee airbag.

When you reinstall it, you might as well follow the instructions on testing and setting sensitivity, in case it was set up and tuned with the mic in some different spot.

Thanks so much for that info! Super helpful and might have saved some false alarms.
