Mysterious Dash Mount - Ideas?

There is this unidentified bracket stuck to my windshield, about 5" wide. See attached picture.

Ideas on what this was used for? No rental history, was personal lease by prior owner, 2015 Cruiser.

5-0 lights.. or a ham radio display head unit. ... a lot of surveillance vehicles are on lease.

Was serviced only at Toyota dealer, all the way to 78k miles when I bought it. If it was a Gov vehicle, probably would have been fleet serviced by then?

Stumped...
 
likely not something you need.. a razor some heat and goo off will remove it.
It's not that big .. so to me it looks like a mount for some radio head unit.

Yeah, I was just trying to figure out more about the vehicle's history. The stealership said the previous owner drove it from Boston to NY and back every week, thus the 78k miles on a 2015.

No big deal, could remove it.
 
Likely the service guy knows what it was for... as it was there when he was servicing the vehicle.

and I'm interested as I'm going to mount a ham radio in mine and this look like a good spot.
