We don't get the SWB in Australia just the 4 door wagon and troopie but a few people have grafted the sheetmetal on to older Bunderas and the like - looks the same !!

Do you know if the HZJ76 was sold in Australia? Looking for a pre-2013 model. I go to carsales.com.au and all they have is the newer 76 series V8 turbo VDJ

Edit: Sorry I posted this off topic question in your thread, I probably shouldn't have. I can't figure out how to delete it.

G'Day Fella's,

Shorty SA, thats been a major undertaking but the end product looks great.
No "3B type slow going up hills" issues with this one.

Please keep us all posted, on the progress.

D'oh!

For now I am finished. Fitted OME BP51 shocks and suspension and made a awesome difference. I have also changed the 2nd and 5th gear ratio in the gear box.
This vehicle is a pleasure to drive on or off road.
I don't know if I would ever do it again but having said that, I would not hesitate if I did not already have one. Crazy I know but a lot has been learnt during this exercise.

Any update on this VDJ71?
