My steering wheel "pops"...

Any trick to filling in the cracks at the base of the arms of '72 steering wheel? Mine pops when I make a steep turn. I'd hate for it to snap off in my hands. Does JB Weld make a plastic bond?

Since you've hijacked the thread anyways...............popping noises from steering wheels are just BAD. You either have a loose hub or a broken spoke. These are both SERIOUS problems, neither of which will be solved with a JB product.

Please proceed VERY carefully.
