any news on your skid plate build??
I've only burned up three blades getting half of it cut out.
Camp, did you try annealing the aluminum before you bent it? Also, is the aluminum too thick to use an electric shear or nibbler for your pattern cutting?
Next time, try to blow air while cutting, cooling the blade and the alu (with a not too small air compressor).
wear eyesglasses of course, but the life of the blade will be increase and the cut speed either
No, I was at a freinds shop and limited time...
And no also on the nibbler, that would have been easy.
It was the twisting that really did in the blades, and I did use oil to cool it also.
And always, ALWAYS use safety glasses! Years ago I spent an hour in the ER with 1000cc's of saline dripping across my eye after a chemical exposure.
And my 60 gallon IR never runs out.
And I should get back on the Cruiser tomorrow because my motivation called. I drove over to Sacramento today and picked it up at the freight depot....
