For interests sake, when I sell my cruiser this is what I am getting.
It's a suzuki LJ truck. I used to have a convertible (shorter wheelbase and like a 40 in shape/style).
I loved it and have always missed it.
Anyways, just thought I would post for fun.
They are cheap to buy, run and insure. Easy on parts, and fuel (60mpg+ in town and offroad).
35mpg or so on the highway (revving high).
I am going to drive it as for the year. (and borrow better rims and tires from a friend. he has spare).
I will probably make it like the yellow one below (the one with the grey box).
Just has re-acrched leafs and about 28-30" tires. The box will be easy to make.
Not sure which color to go. Yellow or white.
Been a farm truck for 10 years or more. Box rusted because they left hay in the back to long.
Body is bondo free, and almost rust free. The worst rust is the frame needs a fishplate.
The yellow one here is my friends. Its SJ410 with leaf over on 31's. I might do this someday, and go to sammuri drivetrain. He has a stock box, which is similar to a LJ stock box.
Here is what I am thinking of making it like. This one was redone in japan.
Very easy to restore. They are all metal, and Steve at EBI is making new panels at a good price.
I just wish he was making boxes....
Oh well, I can make a box like this.
Or my parts rig has a OEM box I might be able to save.
Cheers,
N.
