That looks like the Dodge extra cab on the way to the white Trash Family Reunion. We had just left Jackson I think! Gregs already drinkin' and we had 500 miles to go!

Sorry had to throw that picture in....

Ain't nothin wrong with drinkin a beer with your breakfast burrito. If you tried it and you didn't like it you ought to try it again with more salsa on the burrito.

I got the pinion angle set and the spring perches tacked in today. Movin right allong.

Start sorting out the brakes and such tomorrow PM. Once I get that done I can pull the FF back out and weld it in for good. Ought to be rolling on the FF by the end of the week.

Greg developed a new technique. Looks as if welding the springs to the perches is the in thing now.

It was a really pretty weld though.

euclid's got skillz

Today:

Got the LSPV bracket made.
Got the Ebrake bracket bolted in and almost set up, will finish it on final install.
Almost got the swaybar link brackets made.

Tomorrow's plan is finish those brackets, pull the axle back out and weld them all in place. Should be rolling by late this week.

Big thanks to Heath for his help and his big brain.

Greg,

Need anything off the parts 62 in my yard? Lots left.

Let me know

FastBoats74 needs your 4.11s and my 33-10.5-15s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know. Money is just tight right now. I have been redoing my house and some other expenses that have me "skint", as they say in the U.K.

All bolted up. Took it for a test drive last night. Gotta work out some bugs, but the backs pretty much done. Re-bleed brakes, find a rattle, that kind of stuff. Hope to wrap that stuff up this PM.

Update and thanks:

3:00 today- truck goes on jack stands
3:30 Jeff and Brian show up to help

8:00 test drive the truck with the new front diff including an unexpected pinon flange swap!

In case you don't know that's a ton of work. We had to tear the front axle down and pull the drive shafts, then unbolt the diff, then find out that the driveshaft doesn't bolt to the diff which means we had to swap the pinion, then bolt everything back up including bleeding the brakes. LOTS OF WORK, SHORT TIME!

Wow, can't say a big enough thanks to Brian and Jeff for helping out today.

Huge thanks to Heath for helping for 5-6 nights in the last week.
Huge thanks to John for all his help.

What's left is plumbing the ARB. Still not positive how I'm gonna do it, but I'll be takeing my time with that part.

Thanks again guys.

rear setup: I kept the factory swaybar and OEM Load Sensing Proportioning Valve.

Looks like we are gonna have to tear it down again to do bearings and knuckle bearings. I talked to Gary about it and I bet it's in the front.

Later,

Quick trip to the river with Barry and his boys tonight. First time with the 4:88's, disks and the front locker all in one trip. The thing is just amazing not. Not much down there to slow me down anymore. Barry got some pictures.
