Well it took long enough, but I am now legal!! I though about a custom tag... but I can't Justify giving the state another $50 a year... So I ended up with.... 2A40A40. :) I asked if i could get A45A45, but that box was not opened. :(

Got some more work done today.

First, here is a shot of the CB Antenna install:

So, I broke out my new angle grinder and trimmed about a 1/4" off the lip of the bumper so that the winch place would bolt up. About 3 cutoff wheels later I test fitted the plate and everything looked great, EXCEPT there was no room for the roller to mount. :(

A little more time with the angle grinder and we get this:

Ok, here they are:

I'm curious about this rust pattern on the door where the hinge mounts to it. My Troopy has this same pattern except mine door is broken. The rust pattern has been "punched" out of the door. When I open the door the hinge doesn't work, it stays in the closed position.

Have you looked at this rusted area any further on your truck? I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to fix mine.

I can tell that it was rear ended at one point, and the door seems to have been pushed in there. Both doors open just fine, but i have not gotten into the rust there yet... When I get to it, I'll post up my results.

Keep your camera handy......

Little man only took an hour nap today, so not much done:

Here is what came a few days ago:

Oswald's new shoes!

I think they are a big change from the originals that were on there.
So, Spacers first. Of course Spidertrax.

I was also able to track down a new locking gas cap to replace the "Do not drive with the temporary plug" that i have been using for a while.

Also, I noticed this on the steering are... why do i think this is an issue...

Great Job Dude! I have been working way too much to check in. Excellent Rig and I look forward to meeting and checking out our local Mobile Troopys.

Over and out,

What size did you go with on the tires/wheels?

Steering looks normal to me. :)

Well since I didn't feel like doing any real work I decided it was time to add some needed features.

First I installed a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
P2070001.jpg

That is when I found my electrical gremlin. :( Durring my battery terminal upgrade I removed a wire that was tied directly to it, and just tied it out of the way. Turns out that was the cigarette lighter bypass wire. :( I was still able to install the TPMS, but I now know why my GPS stopped working.

Next I went to wire in the radio.
P2070002.jpg

I did all my pig tails to make the install faster.
P2070003.jpg

Then i find out that the constant power lead for the radio was wired to the lighter! :(

That is when i decided to move up my aux fuse box install. I tried to come up with the best place, and this is what I came up with. Yeah I know the wires might get in the way, but i have a fix for that.

So i finished the wireing, and found out another issue...
P2070005.jpg

Yep, the radio hole is just a little to small to fit the DIN1 radio. :( some trimming on that is needed in the future, but for now, it works.

And my final install of the weekend, was a great idea from another build. A Backup camera. :)

I also took the time to remount my CB, so now it will not fall off while driving. :)

What??

I hate to say it, but Oswald is for sale. :(

I know life throws curve balls all the time; I am sorry to hear this is happening for you.

Keep me posted,
