NICE!

Man you can haul some major gear in the back.

Nice pics!

So....is it everything that you ever dreamed of and some??? :hillbilly:

What doest the list of mods consist of so far?

Again, congrats!!

Mine or what has been done to it... ;)

I "hope" to get some more parts in and get working soon.

I am going to have to replace both the drivers and passenger side handles. The passenger side is broken and does not even connect to the regulator parts. The driver side is almost broken. I hope I can get a lot of the cancer patched up this weekend and some new rubber lined up as the wheels on there are good for around town, but I can't trust it to far.

You don"t need a radio - I can hear you humming and whistling from here - check the mirror, I think the grin might be permanent. :)

The front bumper seems to be mounted to only the frame horns - and the horns stick out past the frame. Just an observation. I think my horns were roughly flush with the ends of the frame. :meh:

Are you keeping the bumper (I don't want it - just curious)

Well i can safely say that the bumper is strong enough to support a 250# man, so, i think it is attached good enough for me, but i am still planning on replacing it, or have it rebuilt by Hawkdriver.

I got some work done today between storms and babysitting. Not what i planned to get done though. So far:

Flushed Cooling system 1.75/3 complete
  • Preston Flush Valve installed, water flush old coolant, drained water
  • replaced main radiator hoses, tstat and tstat
  • refilled with water and prestone flush and ran for 10 minutes)

remove drivers door panel full of dirt. hit everything in there with WD40 to clean out dirt. will hit with actual lube next. did not get to stuck doors yet.

Ok, I am off work today... well not really... i am working from home. While on my "lunch" and while my son took a nap i put in a little cruiser time. Some good some bad...

The Good:
Found the issue with the Passenger door
P1120004.jpg

The latch is broken and jamed. even soaking in PB Blaster didn;t free it. A good wack with the hammer and the door opened.

The back doors were a lot easier. I just had to climb though the back and unlock the door... (duh)

Even scored a set of gloves... ha ha

Now for the bad...

 Atleast the rust in those spots seems localized.

Got a little work done the past few days. No pictures since the camera is missing. :(

I installed the lock in the rear door. Took less then ten minutes. Looks good, and glad i can lock it. I replaced the broken latch on the passenger side. Somehow i lost my 10mm wrench... and sockets... but i got it in. I replaced the damaged one on the drivers side, but it is out of adjustment, and will not open the door. :(

I also mounted my CB antenna, now just need to mount the CB.

A little more work done during nap time.

Got the doors dialed in. They now open w/o any issues. :)

Replaced the aged battery terminals and removed the disconnect on the Negative terminal. New cable from the starter to to the battery is next on the agenda.

Removed the tow took the mount the winch plate. Sprayed all the rust with converter.

I went to mount the winch plate, but the bumper would need to be trimmed to make room for it. :( Misplaced the cut off wheel so that project moved to the back burner for now.

I pulled the wiring for the CB install Mounted the bracket for the CB, then the munchkin woke up. Should have the CB in by tonight. :)
