i guess my rigs a mutt anyway, all toyota parts except the frame and stuff...i have it out at school at wyotech right now finishin some things so i can finally wheel it this year...heres what it looked like before wyotech

it had fj40 axles front and rear with minitruck rear springs out back and fj40 springs in the front, spring over...i changed to an fj80 FF rear axle, with i think ifs minitruck rear springs and a shackle reversal in the front with a widened(thanks to dave gore) fj60 housing.

heres a pic of the shackle reversal, and new lower ride height(i don't have a pic to compare how high it was before)

i wish you guys would all finish your junk and wheel them.....instead of working on them for years. :D

you just be patient and get your front end locked up, i wouldn't wanna make the other black and red samurai look bad now would i?:flipoff2:

lol i can hold my own....front lockers are for pu$$ies. :grinpimp: so is power steering.

on a serious note...i plan on putting on Hydro steering, then a front locker. but in the meantime i am gonna wheel the snot out of it.

and when my brother says that he's secretly insanely jealous he actually means me...(2 screen names + 1 computer = confusion) i'm goin to work on jeffs truck

uh oh, i'd better be careful... :p

got some more done today, upper and lower knuckle ball gussets/shock mounts welded, knuckles welded after cut and turn, center tube gussets just like jeffs front and rear(yes john i know i'll have to cut the rear to fit the antiwrap bracket, but i had helpers doing mindless work so i made a template for them to duplicate the front, i didn't feel like making a template for the antiwrap at the time). and i took pictures but i have to find a cable to connect the camera to the computer

the helpers repacked my rear wheel bearings and sandblasted, jake tried to build my trusses, but i measured and laid them out after watching him struggle for like a half hour, then i bent up the first one, he cut the mitered end and bent the second one, tried to make the first one fit for about ummmmmmmm 45 minutes or so, then i took over, got it good in about 5, and did the second one in about 10 minutes while he went to work cuttin the seat mounts...so other than a tiny bit of help on the trusses and of course all the sandblasting i did it all lol
