Those are the same lights I am looking to get... can you post a couple pics or video of them both (backups and brakes) at night and how much light they produce?......
Raszr,
What part of Spring are you in? I'm off 2920 and Gosling by Klein Oak, would love to lend a hand as I am thinking about doing the same kind of build.
I had a local fab shop weld up a frame for my future RTT. I also modified the tongue by removing the stock military lunette and replaced it with a 48" tongue. I kept the lunette type hitch for greater flex off road. I have a 30 gallon water tank mounted with a demand water pump. You can see the fill nozzle and water spic on the front left side. My propane bottles are 10 gallon transparent bottles so I can see the fluid and KNOW when they are getting low. I also have two 5 gallon fuel cells up front, and two ammo cans in the rear. One is for a deep cycle battery and inverter, the other is for tools or what ever. I also added two cans up front for what ever as well. All cans, fuels, propanes etc can all be pad locked.
I also added another receiver below the spare tire to add a bike rack when ever needed.
The next project is to add hinged bars on the sides of the frame to allow a kayak or canoe to be held.
I am new to the sport but live in Spring. Where did you find a local source for surplus trailers? Also, since Spring Creek closed are there any other places to wheel? Any advice wouldbe greatly appreciated!

There are many places to go wheeling... depends on how far you want to wheel to get there. Here is a google map on our land cruiser page that shows the texas locaitons we know of.
Finished with the liner on the frame. Installed the LED rear lights. Still waiting on the axle. But I did buy some Land Cruiser stock wheels and some Nitto Grabber meats.
The lunette is NOT the stock lunette from the 416. What I did is go to a local trailer supply and buy a heavy threaded lunette. I think the threads are like 1 1/4 or something like that. It came with washer and castle nut. I built a box on the end of the tongue to hold the castle nut and allow spin. Once installed I tightend it down to the same spec as the stock M416 and put the cotter pin in the castle nut. Now I still get rotation like stock but I dont need the stock long lunette.
I will post up some close ups of the set up tomorrow...
What did you do with the original lunette, landing leg and casting? Any chance you'd sell me that stuff??? I am in the middle of a frame-off restoration and I still need those parts.
I had them made local here in Spring TX per my design. I wanted something that would secure the bottle from theft but still allow me access to turn them on/off for use. Let me know what I can do to help...
