Well the last week has been spent gathering parts for not one, but two vehicle headgasket jobs, as well as cleaning the shop and setting up my new shop crane for the big lift. I went out and bought a 2 ton that has a measured 97" of lift from the ground to the center of the eye. Should be more than enough to pull the 1fz without removing the front clip. Unfortunately my 92 civic has been in need of a HG job for a long time, and now that the wifes 80 series decided to let go we are down to one working vehicle. Solution, do the civic first. It only takes a few hours to pop the head off and it gets way better mpg. Once its going then I can start yanking the motor from the 80. I did get a complete engine seal kit from Beno today and I've got a whole pile of other while your in theres boxed up on the bench waiting to go in.
