Maybe... That's the prototype. I have materials for another one in my garage. I hope to adjust the CAD files accordingly so that I can have a local fab shop cut and assemble them on a jig as they have some "down time" at the shop here and there, so they would only be available as they were completed and not by order or inventory.

the problem is it is on the wrong color truck.....you need to send one up here and I will show you just how aewsome it really is.....=o) nice work

Thanks!

Also, I just completed my first tank that I monitored my MPGs on. Lots of city/secondary street miles and no interstate at all. 15.3 calculated with GPS! Not bad at all! (remember, fresh top end, landtank MAF, k&n filter, new plugs/wires/dizzy, etc)

Nice work. Funny I do the cardboard mock up too. Then bring it to the local machine shop and they put the pieces on the cnc table and it cuts them out. I wish I had a machine shop at my house.....someday...lets see the a rear bumper.

Did some maintenance on the power window and sunroof tracks today. Cleaned and lubed. Also took the driver switch assembly apart and cleaned up the contacts. MUCH better!

Also modified my gas pedal and removed the dead pedal for some more legroom. I basically removed the Z bend at the pedal and bumped it up a little higher on the lever arm to keep it out of the carpet. Feels awesome! :-)

I never thought to replace my filter because I thought K&N filters were "suppose" to be a good brand? What is wrong with them?

Most don't like them because of the oil.

They require oil to be efficient. Oil gets in the airstream and coats the MAF which causes poor performance. This typically only happens when they are over-oiled. I don't oil mine. I don't caravan down dusty dirt roads, so I'm not really worried. It came in the truck, so I left it in there....

As bamachem said, the oil can be a problem. Oil on the MAF doesn't just cause performance, it can (and does) kill it. A new MAF sensor is not cheap.

Additionally, they're pretty much an oxymoron. They're supposed to be better flowing, yet capture more contaminates. Many tests have shown that better flowing is marginal at best, and they pretty much suck at catching contaminates (oiled or otherwise). (Those tests show that the same style of filter as our OEM is ideal for both catching contaminates and free flowing.)

It's a cheap air filter with really good marketing.

Just ordered my UltraGauge. Looks like a great little tool!

From your pic of the modded pedal it looks like the filler support rod is not between the pedal and the rod itself but offset and JB welded on for greater support. Is that correct?

I was thinking of doing this the other day but possibly just welding the pedal back directly to the rod actuator but was worried about to little flat surface area for proper contact and "weld" material area.

I saw the other mod where the OP removed the curvature and put a piece of gas hose on just the rod. I did not like that one.

Not JB. 030 flux core!

The offset you see is from the 2" of bar that is spot welded to the pedal. I left that section on the pedal and re-welded the trimmed arm to the Pedal AND to the piece of bar to give the pedal offset it needed.

Sorry, never used JB Weld and just assumed that might be what you used.

No biggie. Pedal assy is attached to the firewall with two 10mm bolts. Remove the cable at the top by releasing tension and slide it out the slot in the arm. Remove rubber, Cut, cut, weld, cool off, paint, let dry, replace rubber, and reinstall. Extremely simple and gives about1.5" of additional legroom when under way.

Nice rig! You must be in Gulf Shores.. I'm over in Pensacola.

Thanks! I'm actually in Fairhope. Don't see many 80's around here, that's for sure!

So if'n I bring my LX down your way on the way to my next vacation to Orange Beach, can you do all that stuff for mine over a weekend? :p

I'm especially up for the gas pedal thing-at 6'5", I can use every inch of legroom! I have a new spool-o-0.30 on the Hobart, but I'm just not sure that my limited welding skills are up to the task.

Also, I'm waiting with baited breath for you to do a rear bumper. I'll just go ahead and tell you I'm a plagiarizer by nature....
