ARB would help too...

Updated Pictures

Well guys, after a few months of saving and a lot of wrenching, I feel like I have made some progress with the LC. I went with a Slee 6" lift kit, ARB winch bumper, 16x10 Pro Comp Street Loc wheels, parked on 37x13x16 Boggers. Still have stock gearing, for now, saving up for a h55f swap and a built 383 stroker. I spend a good solid five days removing all the interior and sound deadening material to prep the tub for the Line X. It was the best investment I have made yet, looks beatiful, anyways here are the pictures

Enjoy!

Man you work quick. Looks awesome. How bad is the 3f with those 37's and stock gearing?

Dude everything except the interior is way sweet! Me likes the color and lift. Cool.

I can see you lining the rear cargo area, but not the whole damn thing.

It's not as bad as you'd think IMO. If I ever did a part time conversion, it think it would be very drivable. Never sees the freeway or speeds +45, too much wobble and not enough power.

There was a few reasons I linex with WHOLE tub. First off, the last owner had some serious dogs issues, hair embedded in the carpet, and the stench. Secondly, when I'm out in the mud, which is really all we have in the NW, I don't want to have to clean the carpets all the time. And lastly, I eventually want to convert to 5 speed, using the line x on top of the tunnel I can make the shifter look stock. I do see your point though, and thanks for the response!

Very nice, and here you were crying about a few fender scratches. Are you going to add lockers/new gears in the future?

LOL, I was whining about the scratches for a while, then I realized if you throw a little mud on it, nobody cares. I have researched lockers and ARB air lockers for sure. I am debating the gears, if I build a torqey 383 I should be able to maintain the 4:11's? What would you suggest?

Why is it to wobbly to drive over 45. Have you done the panhards and addressed caster?
Cheers,
Sean

I have adjusted all the panhards, and aligned it. I believe it's the boggers, they are so knobby, it's almost impossible to balance. If some else is running boggers, and can drive it on the +45 let me know, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

With those boggers, I'd defientely regear. Maybe a lunch box locker would make more sense for you(detroit, lockright) considering your enviornment. Post some pics if you build a 383, would love to see that.

Good info, I'm going to do some more research. I'll keep you posted!

It's just the nature of the Boggers, the wider they are the worse it gets. I run the 38.5/11/16 Boggers and they are not as bad. When the tires are warmed up I can run 65 mph no problem. The worst one on my FJ was 7oz out, one of the ones on my Volvo 6X6 was 20oz out.

hey forcedinductionz,

Any fit issues with the 37" Boggers and the 6" Slee lift? How much rubbing when you stuff a tire?

Keep in mind the Bogger is very tough on axles. When it grabs it grabs hard. One of my buddies has 35" Boggers on a full size pick up with a built small block and would grenade axles until he built up a Dana 60 front and 12 bolt rear. Running lower gears (higher numerical) in your axles will help, especially with a 383 stroker.

By the way I love the set up. You are approaching my future (dream) set up. See my ROTW "future mod" write up.

In the Slee kit (Definetly worth the money! Thanks Christo!) they provide add on bumpstops front and rear. I flexed it out of a rock and the tire was about an 1-1.5" from the fender flare. I have never rubbed on the trail either.

Nice looking rig you got there, I like the choice of future mods, you won't be let down. I think I'm going to build my 3FE instead of the 383. Headers, Cam, Intake, Gears should get me enough grunt to do some serious wheelin.

My Future Plan as of now..

1. Part time conversion
2. 4.56 gears
3. Lock Right in the front, Powertrax in the rear (I get a smoking deal through NAPA)
4. Slee Rear bumper, Rack, Sliders, Snokel

Here is some mud wheeling pics for ya

Wouldn't 4.88s make more sense for that size tire. I know Matt, (Ammo) has a similiar tire and he went up to 5.29s. I regeared to 4.56s but I'm staying with 33s, if I was going bigger than that I would have gone to 4.88s.
