after several years of no carpet, have you ever thought about doing this to also replace your head liner?

No. I like the color and aesthetics if the headliner.

Why not put the carpet back over it?

The purpose of the project was to create a quieter environment that was also durable and easy to clean. The carpet would have been more difficult to clean mud out of, and I know how we all h8mud!

Any updates on how everything is holding up? Considering doing this myself.

Everything is holding up really well. The only thing I would do different would be to use a spray on sound deadener rather than the strips I used under the liner. Other than that the durability has been excellent. Same qualities as when I first installed it!

Thanks for the update. I'm going to have to find a good spray in sound deadener now
