My 4runner/project sat most of the summer, flat spotted tires?

Cliffs on my project, been 2 years in the making...

95 4runner, 3link front, 4 link rear, 5.29's, High pinion front, locked f/r. started the project having no clue what I was really doing.

Finally got it finished enough to test it.

it shakes bad at about 45 mph.

Everything is tight, I believe the steering is aligned straight (didn't have a shop do it, but I triple checked my measurements)

I'm thinking the tires are flat spotted from sitting so long, how long should it take for the tires to heat up and round themselves out? from my searches most say a few miles, some say up to 150 miles.

tires in question are TSL SX 36/12.50/15

I only drove it about 5 miles today, came home and double checked everything was tight and nothing loosened up.

It tracks straight and rides surprisingly smooth until it gets up to speed

just drive it after about ten or 20 miles the tires will warm up and round back out. I had ltbs on my fj62 and they would flat spot over night in the winter. drive it a few milees they should be fine.

thats what I'm hoping, if driving it to work and back this week doesn't cure it, ill take it to discount tire and see if the they are out of balance, if they can't balance them ill just use it as an excuse to buy new tires (the ones I have I bought used for cheap)

If the tires have flattened out, then you should feel it at lower speeds also. My Piggy tires are really bad til I get some miles on it since I park it for long periods. Sounds like you may have driveshaft issues. Could be angle issues due to lift, could be damage, could be bad ujoints. John

I do feel it at lower speeds too, it just seems to get bad at about 45 mph.

ujoints on the driveshafts are good, angles might be too extreme (although the rear can drop until the springs fall out with no binding issues, the front will drop till it splits apart.... still got to get a new one made)

turns out I didn't have enough camber, and my toe angle wasn't set right, got it aligned better and the shake is almost gone, turns a lot better now too

still might need another degree or two of camber
