Mark. Idea sounds good. Can you post an image? I did have longer ratty looking shackles and never a problem. A slide box set up would do the job as well.

I think those shackles are in my garage at home. It will be the weekend before I can put my hands on them.

In the converse, you could add a stop to your hanger, or a bumpstop from the frame. All have the same objective: stop the shackle from going past the breakover point

Appreciate the offer. I have ordered some longer ones. I disposed of the longer ones I had on the truck for years with no problems. I am planning on the Cruiser Summit to but have an item that may keep me from making it. Will do my best.
