I was on the fence about removing the flares and lining. My initial plan was to remove the flares, refurb, paint, then reapply. Well, the removal did not go as well as planned and both front flares were damaged beyond repair. So the decision to permanently remove the flares was made for me. I had all 22 holes filled with Bondo then rolled on the Durabak myself. At the same time I also had the roof rack removed and the roof painted white. The summers in OK get ridiculously hot and I think it give homage to its fj40 roots. Too be honest with you guys I thought the three different colors would turn out tacky, but I had my mind set on the white roof and I am stubborn like that. Now everything is completed I must say I am very happy with the way it turned out. I have gotten many comments and complements over the last few days. So what do you guys think?

I like it!

The white roof really makes it stand out. Well done.

What is next?

What is next?

You had to ask?

Along with preventive maintenance

THE LIST in no specific order:
Refinish wheels
Bumpers and Sliders
Fix the rear actuator
Remove PAIR system
OBA
PHH
and probably about 20 other things I am forgetting right now.

What exhaust do you installed?

What exhaust do you installed?
Due to major exhaust leaks, I hod to replace the existing exhaust, I am currently running an EMS powered headers back system, with the matching intake pipe and filter. I will post a write up and review in the future.

Looks great. Why not Durabak, or grey for the bumpers to match, and black or grey for the wheels?

I like it. I would like to three tone me emerald green/dk. grey LX. Lt. grey roof, dark grey bottom and wheels and the emerald green upper body. Very similar to what you have done. Sweet!!

I like the look of the black bumpers, I may rattle can them grey in the future to see how they look, but for now they will stay black. I still have not decided what I want to do with the wheels, either refinish them in a silver or a black, I just can not make up my mind.

Can we get some up close pics of the Durabak?

I'm glad you didn't do the entire truck... because that's about the exact color I want to do my entire truck :D

Grey bumpers in the color of your Durabak would look superb. I'm not into the white roof but that's a great shade of grey.

I like it!!! really nice work and great color choice!
