My 1987 4 Runner 22RE has been running great well I got to work tonight and she started to crank started to fire up and died. I thought I heard a pop. She still has spark but wont fire up ? Im at a loss without a carb LOL.

Check the big air intake hose to the throttle body to see if it is cracked. You can tape it up to get it running temporarily
x2 on checking the air hose - take it off and take it to a dark room, stick a flashlight inside and flex the rubber boot while looking for light through the cracks.
Otherwise, check the fuel pump operation. The pump relay can go bad, so you can jumper some terminals under the hood to bypass it and power the pump directly.
