Some of the factory tops were pretty good especially with hard doors on them. I have a bestop on my 40 and sealing around the doors is the only real leaking spot. It doesn't matter if you hard doors or soft water is going to get in. The same with a 40, the factory soft top has a rigged frame around the door and that gives it something to seal to. Short of spending a couple of grand for an FST you are going to get some water.

Mudeater, I like what you are doing, and I particularly like the color, but I'm not too impressed with the front bumper. Why, because off road vehicles pull 9 times the forces on the front end than the rear end, and the weight of that bumper is going to increase that ratio dramatically.

Great point on the front bumper. I'm trying to find a new home for it on Craigslist. The last guy put it on... and it's down right heavy and ugly! If anyone needs a stout push bar, I got one for you!!!!

Thanks for the input on the soft top and water tightness. I still got to figure that one out.

Just finished using the SOR door seal kit. Looks real good, can't wait to see the final door fit up.

Not real pleased with the upper pre glued corner. I will need to cut and re-glue it.

Well, it’s bern a good Winter-Spring with many upgrades. Here are some new pics from the progress.
