Well, not really. Picked up my truck yesterday from a fellow mud member where Robbie (Powderpig) had performed his magic. I had the head gasket replaced. I was still on the original one @ 141k. Also had him replace the fuel filter, fuel injectors, vacuum lines, oil cooler gasket, crankshaft seal, and a few other items. I also decided to have him put on a supercharger. I have been hemming & hawing over getting one of these for years. Well, after having driven it for just one day, I must say, I have a hard time getting the grin off of my face. I am being gentle with it, but there is a big difference in what my truck was and now is. I was lucky I had Robbie do the headgasket when he did, mine was slightly deformed and was looking pretty bad. I wouldn't say failure was imminent, but it was definately looming on the horizon. A few of the other guys here had a some bigger problems. One had a hg failure which made the #6 go bad and had to get a full rebuild of the motor. Another had a cracked head. I will try to take some pictures later tonight/tomorrow, not that everyone hasn't seen it before :D. I do have a few leftover parts, the old headbolts, some line that came with the supercharger that I didn't use. If anyone needs them, let me know.

Very nice. I am sure the power is awesome, I have heard they make great power. I seriously contemplated adding a SC when I did the HG on my LX. Now the York sits in the way of a SC on my LC, so no SC for me. I do have some oil leaks that I need to attend to, but they require pulling the motor, so not in any hurry for that. Robbie does great work and is a nice guy to boot.

Hi Jack,

I had the Great Lakes Water Jet compressor setup, but I sort of always had the desire for the supercharger and I knew I couldn't have both. Sold the compressor stuff several months back. You are right, Robbie is a helluva nice guy and sure knows his stuff. Need to figure out what I am going to do for a air compressor now. I was thinking about one of those extreme air in the box things thats all self contained, seems pretty easy and won't have too much stuff laying around. Here is a picture of my improved motor.

WHAAAAAT? WHY would you NOT be in a hurry to pull out the motor Jack?
After that york install, Im SURE you wouldnt wanna scrap that now that its done.

Actually getting the York portion out isn't too bad, it's the dual batteries, wiring, radiator, effort, lack of time, too lazy, oil leaks not critical yet, don't want to have the rig down that long, etc...

Is that enough excuses?:hillbilly:

Yeah...some of us actually like to wheel Keith :flipoff2:

wheeling? what's that? I think I have heard of that, but it's something I've not yet had the joy to experience in my truck  I really do need to go wheel my truck now. Just need a skid plate and to install my ac skid plate and I should be good to go.

AAAAAAW MAN! :flipoff2:
I CAN NOT WAIT to wheel again!!:crybaby:
However, that is a well pointed jab at me for sure. Im the creator of my own misery.
Although, I DO very much love the build process too. Double edged sword I guess.
