Hey guys how is every one my name is jay and I own a 1987 toyota 4x4 pick up...I just got it and I have it runing and everything but there is still one problem that I can't figure out...While its runing and all when you go to hit the gas and all, it trys to bogg down in the low rpm's if any one knows why can you please let me know..thanks

welcome. i had that problem with my 86 22re pickup. it gets better when you get to about 3k, right? i replaced my MAF sensor ($600 part) and it fixed it. i think. it still does it very occasionally, and never very bad.

oh, yea: when you let off the gas, does it feel like it has a momentary surge of power right at the top of the pedal?

is it carbed or fuel injected? my 84 would bog down a little if i was trying to accelerate fast so i adjusted my timing and it fixed it. maybe time for a tune up or something. Welcome to mud!

Hey thanks guys...And yes it is fuel injected...I'll mess with the timing some more..But I think I pritty much have there is a screw were the throtle postion soince is and I backed it out a litle and it helpe alot..Well thanks guys...
